Transitional Kindergarten Program
Our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program is specially designed to meet the unique developmental needs of young learners who turn 4 years old by September 1. As an essential bridge between preschool and kindergarten, TK provides students with a strong foundation for future academic and social success.
At Florida Street Discovery Center, we offer a comprehensive, whole-child program that nurtures physical, cognitive, and social-emotional growth. Our TK classrooms are led by caring, credentialed teachers who create hands-on, engaging learning experiences tailored to each child’s pace and abilities.
The goal of Transitional Kindergarten is to give students a head start on kindergarten, building early literacy, numeracy, language development, and essential social skills. Through intentional instruction and play-based learning, our students gain the confidence and readiness they need to thrive in school and beyond.
By investing in early learning through our TK program, we are preparing students to be college- and career-ready, equipped with the skills to learn, explore, and grow every step of the way.
